Description

Wanyun Zhong, Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in the United States, and licensed by the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners in Georgia and by the State of Tennessee. She studied western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine including acupuncture in China. She graduated from Xian Jiaotong University School of Medicine in China and completed her postgraduate study at the Neuroscience Institute in the same medical school. In the study, she investigated the mechanisms of acupuncture induced anesthesia. Dr. Zhong was an attending neurologist and the person in charge of the Electromyography Laboratory at China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Beijing, China. She was further trained in neurology, immunology and molecular biology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota and was involved in the study of neuroscience and gene therapy at St Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
