He was found with fur all matted up to his skin and a chain around his neck. He was very neglected so he was taken in by a great lady who took him to the vet and is keeping him in hopes of finding him a good home. Potential owners will be screened as this dog will not ever be returned to the conditions that he was living in. If you dont want to be screened then --do not bother to reply. He is very energetic because he was tied up for so long. He could probably use a basic obedience course.

He is a very friendly boy. He needs to be in a home with kids and be part of a real family. He should be kept indoors although he does love to run play in a fenced yard. He is approximately 4 yrs. old and medium size for a Cocker Spaniel. .He was Heartworm tested and tested positive. This was from severe neglect..He completed his first round of Heartworm Treatment this week and will be ready to adopt in 30 days. He will need some form of Heartworm prevention (HeartGard, etc.) once a month for the rest of his life..He will come with a 6 month supply of HeartGard....If you cannot commit to this -- please dont inquire.

He is copper in color and I will post pictures as soon as I can get them. He is one of the cutest Cocker Spaniels I have ever seen and he has the best personality but right now we are trying to put some weight on him as he was very bony. The vet said he was malnutritioned. We are working on crate training but he isnt housetrained because he has been chained all his life. Someone will have to continue to work on this with him.

Unfortunately the cost of his vet care will never be recouped because heartworm treatment is extremely expensive so his rescuer is asking for an adoption fee of $250.00 to cover some of the cost. He will come with all his vet records and a bag with all his toys, brush leash, etc. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. We are posting early in order to try to find a com
