Before you buy a pet store bird, visit the rescue and find one that likes YOU. Step one is to fill out the online application and send it in (READ all of it first) to ensure that the bird will have a safe, happy home. If you can't read or follow instructions, the birds are smarter than you so you can't adopt! Then plan to spend an afternoon getting to know a future companion. Birds are not sold or shipped.
