Antique 5 gallon liquid can lamp. We have reclaimed this old can into a unique floor lamp unlike any other floor lamp. The can has a brass nameplate affixed that reads Geo. O. Ellis Sons, Inc., Philadelphia, PA. The can says Ellisco #209, rated New York City B10, North Carolina B10, Penn. B10, Alabama B10. The can has a removable top with a cool chain so the top cannot be lost. The lamp is 70” overall height. The can measures 11” wide x 25 1/2” high. We have applied a blacksmith’s finish/beeswax, turpentine and linseed oil for a satin finish over the rust patina that was on the can. This can has obviously been well maintained and seen a lot of use as well. It lives on today as a great addition to your home, cabin or office.
