Description
July 28
th, 2012, Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center, $5/person, 7:30pm-10pm
Have you ever looked up in the sky as the sun is setting seen black birds
swooping all around? Most likely those were bats! They were doing us a favor
by eating insects, especially mosquitoes! Bats are fascinating mammals that
have critical jobs in nature; come listen to Trina Morris, a biologist, teach us
about the special jobs bats do. We’ll even go outside to search for bats in
action! We will begin this class in the Visitor’s Center drive (your own
vehicle) over to the Brooke Ager Discovery Area after the indoor
presentation. Make sure to bring a flashlight or headlamp. All ages are
welcome, but children must be supervised. Register pay today!
